The men tackled a major honey-do list at our house, and Grandma, Marian and I braved the world with six kids in tow. All in all, a successful day.

Ready to go to her cousins' house

I thought it would be hard to convince Sylvia to go to the farm without us, while we fly to NY. No. She wanted to leave with grandpa as soon as she got up this morning. Here she is sitting with her luggage, in a rare moment when she was not running around and shouting joyfully at grandpa, "Let's go!!!"

We don't know what to say to Sylvia about the past few days. But we are grateful that she's such a cheerful presence.

On the way there this morning she told Paul and me again about her friends, her teachers, and the fun things they do together. Then she said, "It's my favorite school ever in my life!" It's a huge relief for me that she really enjoys it.
