I guess I've been saying "No, that's just a decoration, not a toy" a lot lately, because tonight I had this conversation:

Sylvia: Can I hold that bird?
Me: Yes, of course.
Sylvia: I can?
Me: Yes, it's your Christmas present from Aunt Lisa.
Sylvia: It's a toy?
Me: Yes.
Sylvia: Ah, finally!
