We tried to drive to Marysville tonight. We got about 25 minutes in and Sylvia was still wailing, so we pulled over to reassess. Sylvia wanted to go back home and wait until morning. So we did.

Learning to nap

After two months of holding her in my arms for every nap because she would wake up if I tried to put her in the bassinet, I finally tried laying her down in our bed, where she sleeps every night. Voila. I've graded two papers while sitting next to her. Mom, I'm sure you told me to do this a long time ago.  

Happy time!

Every morning for about 30 minutes we have happy time, when Sylvia talks to us and smiles and looks lovingly at the ceiling fan. It's hard to get on tape because the camera is very distracting. Here is a little bit. It's my new favorite way to start the day,
